An exciting program on Ngunnawal country, Canberra Australia,
for young adults between 18 and 35 who identify as neurodivergent.

Studio& is designed for individuals who have a desire to connect and engage with others independently through art - with the support of mentors.

We are an art space dedicated to inclusion, art practice, mentoring and social connections. The studio has a person-centred approach to explore self and art.

THE STUDIO&. TEAM

Kristie and Matilda have extensive first-hand experience in the mentorship of artists. They are passionate about the support and mentoring that they provide and help tbuild up the attendees and allow them a platform to grow.

THE ORIGINS OF STUDIO&.

Studio& was inspired by the vision of Helen Cleugh and John Butcher, parents who saw a need for a safe and inclusive space where young adults (who identify as being neurodivergent) could explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills and connect with other people their age.

The inspiration came from their lived experience with their son Jeff, who identified the need for a safe place for young creatives to connect and support their interests and talents. Realising this need for a space where Jeff and others like him could feel accepted and thrive, Helen and John generously provided the initial funding to make this vision a reality.

Thank you, Helen and John, for being regular everyday parents who saw a need and took action to make a difference.
