Shift & Co is a Canberra-based organisation, that was founded in 2020, to make coaching available to everyone, especially those living with a disability or mental health struggles.
Through our needs-based coaching, we assist people with diverse needs, to overcome adversity, pursue their goals and become more resourceful.

Jacob Cowling
About Me:
Jacob has detailed educational study and experience in community services, youth work, leadership, life coaching and more.
He has worked for many years with troubled youth who experienced childhood trauma, before managing the operations of an organisation in this space for many years. After this, he spent a small stint as a Behaviour Support Practitioner before opening Shift and Co.
Focus Statement:
Jacob is passionate about helping those who struggle to navigate through difficult situations in their lives, lack of personal direction, and those with anxiety or ADHD. He also loves helping people to connect with others when they struggle to socialise.

Malynda Bo
About Me:
Malynda is a young female from Canberra.
She likes to combine knowledge from her development coach position, her nursing education, interest in psychology, and her own personal growth journey to support people. With a background in building relationships through lifeguarding, her bubbly personality is a true asset.
Focus Statement:
Malynda passion is helping people become the best version of themselves and supporting people through tough times. She knows from personal experience how helpful it is to have someone in your corner.

About Me:
Jared is a young male who has lived in Australia for around 10 years (having come from South Africa).
In the past, Jared has used his skills and passion for the industry to assist teenage boys through a mentoring program.
In addition to this Jared has completed and is still completing tertiary education in Psychology.

Jared has a deep interest in helping people realise their potential in life.
He believes by setting and working towards goals together, confidence is built as well as the reassurance of their potential and worth being reaffirmed.

Bevan Golding
About Me:
Bevan is a young, local Canberran male in the support worker industry.
Through his studies in community services, Bevan has been actively involved in volunteer support work through The Red Cross.
These experiences have allowed him to offer support and services to people of a wide range of ages and with varying support needs.
Focus Statement:
Bevan is passionate about being able to support people through both mental and physical barriers. He has a great interest in supporting people through the low moments, whether this is a lack of confidence, being overwhelmed, or other factors such as anxiety, depression, or disability. He enjoys being able to support someone to gain more confidence and learn ways that they can support themselves.

About Me:
Ben is a caring and approachable male from Canberra.
Ben has a large number of years of experience in the service industry. Ben has been able to use these experiences to build and perfect many skills such as compassion and communication.
Ben strives to find a way to achieve his goals, even if he can not see the answer immediately, and enjoys helping others pursue this as well.
He also helps volunteer for a small country not-for-profit theatre and has an open-minded approach to life and a background in LBGTQIA+.

Ben is a compassionate, caring, and kind communicator who values honesty and integrity.
His strengths are guiding people who suffer from anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. In addition to this, he is highly passionate about helping others, self-improvement, being supportive, and helping others to be their best selves.

About Me:
Kimberley has worked with vulnerable populations for most of her professional employment history and has experience with individuals of all backgrounds, such as those who live with diverse abilities, refugees, and detainees. Kimberley has experience in community services, support work, mentoring, and health and well-being programs for these vulnerable populations. Kimberley also has a background in health and fitness coaching, personal training and yoga.
Focus Statement:
Kimberley uses her lived experience as her passion and drive to support those who seek assistance in wanting to better their situation. Her key strengths are her ability to empathise with any situation, create rapport with anyone she comes across and her ability to creatively problem solve.
